Profile Information: Profile photo, bio, relationship status
Content: Photos, videos, captions, notes, and important dates you upload
Communications: Messages you send through the app, support inquiries

Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, device identifiers
Usage Data: Features you use, time spent in app, interactions with content
Location Data: Approximate location (city-level) for date idea suggestions (with your permission)
Log Data: IP address, access times, error logs (for security and debugging)

1.3 Information from Third Parties

Social Login: If you sign in with Google or WeChat, we receive basic profile information
Analytics: Aggregated usage statistics from analytics providers

When you "pair" with someone, you share photos, important dates, and other content you choose to upload. This is the core functionality of Coupli.

3.2 Service Providers

We share data with trusted third parties who help us operate the Service:

Cloud Storage: AWS S3 (for photo storage)
Analytics: Usage analytics (anonymized)
Payment Processors: Apple, Google (for in-app purchases)
AI Services: OpenRouter/Qwen (for date idea generation, no personal data shared)

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.

3.4 What We Don't Do

      We DO NOT:
      ❌ Sell your personal information
❌ Share your photos with third parties for advertising
❌ Use your photos to train AI models
❌ Track you across other apps or websites

    

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account:

Immediate: Your profile is no longer visible
30 days: All your data is permanently deleted from our servers
Backup copies: May persist for up to 90 days in encrypted backups

5. Your Privacy Rights

5.1 Access and Portability

You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

5.2 Correction

You can update your profile information at any time in the app.

5.3 Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data from the Profile settings.

5.4 Opt-Out of Marketing

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails anytime or disable notifications in settings.

5.5 GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you're in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights including object to processing, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

5.6 CCPA Rights (California Users)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt-out of sale (though we don't sell data).

Coupli is based in the United States. If you use our Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and stored in the US. We use Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards to protect your data.
